How do you use self-level compound on a concrete floor that is going to be tiled?
Clean existing floor with water and general cleaner, rinse, let dry. Rinse one more time.
Get a concrete liquid bonding agent like “Thorobond”. Get a paint pan and roller with long handle. Roll on bonding agent and let dry.
If you are using a true SELF LEVELING compound. You don’t do any troweling, screeding, etc.
You mix it up and pour it on. Pour it out in several continuous rows. Check your thickness and compare to coverage on the bag. Follow Directions.
Remember you are raising floor level up so doors might need to be cut off, basemold removed, etc.
Let cure according to instructions.
